It's a good car for sure. I seriously considered buying one for a while, but eventually decided against it because the resale value sucks so bad. If you can afford it and live near a hydrogen station, I might recommend it.

Right? Used prices that low are either accidents or Mirai opaque. But TOYOTA is still making them. Other electric cars are safer. I can go to other states. A Camry hybrid looks better. There are several reasons for the low used prices.

1 ． First generation Mirai design is tacky
2 ． First generation Mirai is a panda from the back
3 ． Maintenance costs are unknown and likely to be high for medium to long term ownership
4 ． Hydrogen gas Not cheap if you pay for it yourself （ about $80 per fill up, 300 miles of driving ）
5 ． inconvenient to refill with hydrogen （ few current stations etc ）
6 ． first generation Mirai design is weird

I don't recommend buying a new car for cosmetic reasons, the safest choice would be Camry, Prius or Accord.
If you want to save the most money, it will be cheaper to drive a 10 year old Japanese car with minimum repairs.
If you want to save the ultimate money, drive a car without power windows or air conditioning, so there are fewer parts to break.

I may have thought a little differently before Corona than I do now. But I realized. You never know when you will die in life. Will I work hard and be thrifty for the rest of my life?

Riding a Mirai may be like having a cute girlfriend, a handsome boyfriend, a brand new bag, or a rare pet. Because it is better than normal, it also requires a certain amount of extra care. Whether that is a good thing or not is left to individual judgment. Even those who drive Teslas may have their own concerns that they can't talk to others about ？

In case you are wondering, the Mirai is a kind of electric car. There is a small hydrogen power plant inside the car, which produces electric energy to power the motor. So it is very quiet.
